Cross-listed with: HIST428F. The cultural dimension of US-China relations from 1784 to 1982 will be explored. It discusses how the American and Chinese people create, present, and remember each other's cultural images, and how these images reflect the foreign policies of the two countries and affect their bilateral relations.
