Advanced Topics in Asian American Studies; Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Studies

Through a case study approach, students will gain an understanding of (1) the indigenous people of Hawaii and the U.S. affiliated Pacific Islands, (2) the impact of their historical and current relationship with the American imperialism and the U.S. government, and (3) their impact on demographic change in the U.S.
