Bedding Plant Production
Spring crops (ex. seed propagated ornamentals and vegetables, vegetatively propagated ornamentals, perennials, foliage plants and woody ornamentals) are the 'backbone' of the ornamental greenhouse crop industry. Explore how spring flowering greenhouse crop growers have one of the most challenging jobs in agriculture. Discover how many different species from all over the world are produced and scheduled to bloom at the same time to maximize sales. Throughout the course, production principles presented are grounded in plant physiology, plant nutrition, entomology and plant pathology.
