Commercial Poultry Management

Prerequisite: ANSC101 and ANSC103. Theory and science of rearing poultry and marketing poultry meat and eggs in the commercial sector. Includes current issues, organization of the industry, as well as fundamental biology of the domestic chicken. Students will help raise a flock of broiler chickens. Field trips to commercial poultry operations are required. Students must pay a $50.00 laboratory materials fee.
