Anthropology of Human Rights
Following a consideration of the philosophical and legal foundations, an examination of human rights principles and practices in five policy domains: structured inequality, gender, indigenous livelihoods, migration, and climate change. Emphasizing an anthropological perspective, drawing heavily on fine-grained, ethnographic accounts to contextualize human rights violations and responses.
