Egyptian Colloquial Arabic I

Prerequisite: ARAB205; or permission of ARHU-School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures department. Restriction: Must not be a fluent/native speaker of Arabic. Develops communicative skills and cultural knowledge in Egyptian Arabic. Focuses on various social interactions, work and school situations, as well as specifics of pronunciation and grammar of the Egyptian dialect. Designed for students who have completed two years of the regular Arabic sequence classes (104-105 and 204-205) or equivalent. Prerequisite: ARAB205.
