Special Topics in Arabic Studies; Life Stories in Arabic Cultural Production

This course focuses on autobiographical storytelling in literary, cinematic, visual, and virtual cultures in the Arabic-speaking world. Questions of nationalism, religious fundamentalism, Islamic feminism, and other social and political issues will be discussed from the perspective of an individual life story. Taught in English.
