Physiology of Pain and Evidence-based CAM Approaches

Prerequisite: BSCI170, BSCI171. Restriction: Must be a Biological Science major at Shady Grove. Introduction to the physiology of pain and the philosophies, techniques, and evidence of efficacy of complementary and alternative therapies used to treat pain/chronic pain disorders, including massage therapy, dietary, mind-body practices, acupuncture, energy therapies, and Ayurvedic practices.
