Data Driven Decision Making

Restriction: Must be in Business and Management (Master's) program; or permission of BMGT-Robert H Smith. Proficiency in the art of analyzing data to support decision-making is critical for business professionals. In this course, we will explore basic analytical principles that can assist a manager to extract information from raw data and model complex decision problems with quantitative methods. A good outcome does not necessary imply a good decision, a good outcome can be a matter of luck. A good decision is founded on sound reasoning and considers all the information available at the time of the decision.
