Restriction: Must be in one of the following programs: Criminology and Criminal Justice (Master's); Criminology and Criminal Justice (Doctoral); Sociology (Master's); Sociology (Doctoral); or permission from BSOS-Criminology & Criminal Justice department. Provides students with an overview of the major ethical perspectives, which are typically used to inform and justify the workings of the criminal justice system. The course draws on a number of case studies in order to introduce students to a broad range of ethical dilemmas, and students develop and hone a decision-making process designed to resolve such dilemmas.
