Special Topics in Film Theories; The French and British Empires on Film
Critical study of colonial and post-colonial films produced during colonial times and after the end of the two major European empires in the 20th century. In the light of postcolonial theories applied to film, the course will discuss current questions on identity, memory, racism, and geopolitical issues.
