Special Topics in Health Communication; Health & Popular Culture

The purpose of this course is to develop a greater understanding of how health communication issues are portrayed in the media. Using the lens of popular culture, you will critically examine the representation of health issues in different cultural contexts in the media and reflect on how these representations influence behavioral and social change.
