Special Topics in Digital Communication; Digital Placemaking
Restrictions: This course is restricted to Departmental Honors students. This course explores how place and identity is communicated through digital and social media. Using a combination of theory and novel technologies we will examine a range of materials -- including social media posts, popular culture, archives and our own media practices to understand how place (and belonging to that place) is constructed on global and local scales.
