Quantum Electronics I

Prerequisite: Must have knowledge of quantum mechanics; or permission of instructor. Spontaneous emission, interaction of radiation and matter, masers, optical resonators, the gas, solid and semi-conductor lasers, electro-optical effect, propagation in anisotropic media and light modulation.
