Introduction to Global Health Literacy

The ability to access, understand, appraise, and use information is critical for the improved health and well being of populations around the world. This course will address how population health is affected by politics, culture, geography, and/or social determinants of health, with a focus on contemporary global health challenges including climate-related disasters and pandemic preparedness. Students will explore and gain skills related to health communication and education.
