Restriction: Must be in Government & Politics program or Government & Politics: International Relations program. Suppose you want to make the world a better place. You need to explore the global potential for improvement. What is the potential for justice in the world? What is the potential for sustainable development? What about the potential for a better form of democracy or a better form of capitalism? The short term potential for improvement is almost guaranteed to be limited, but what if we made an effort to think in a long term way? Can one do that? Shouldn't one do that? These are the big issues we will explore in this course.
