Anatomy and Physiology of the Auditory and Vestibular Systems

Prerequisite: Must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in HESP311, HESP407, and HESP411; or permission of instructor. Additional information: Fills a requirement for the Doctoral Program in Clinical Audiology (CAUD). Open to students in other graduate programs, especially NACS. Comprehensive examination of the anatomy and physiology of the peripheral as well as the central auditory and vestibular systems. Both afferent and efferent pathways will be considered. Applications of basic auditory neuroscience to contemporary clinical audiology practice will be highlighted.
