History of the Caribbean

Prerequisite: HIST112, HIST113, HIST122, HIST123, HIST240, HIST250, or HIST251.Offers a concise introduction to the history of the Caribbean regions from the Columbian voyages to the 20th century. Special emphasis is given to the dynamics of local social and cultural formations within the framework of the political and economic history of the Atlantic world.
