Immigration Policy, Immigrant Lives

Cross-listed with: ANTH264. Credit only granted for: ANTH264 or IMMR219C. An examination of the phenomenon of international migration, or immigration. Students develop awareness of how immigration has been framed in the general public and examined by social science disciplines, most prominently anthropology. Examination of case studies of different immigrant groups in distinct geographic contexts will illuminate the varied incorporation experiences of immigrants into U.S. society.
