Practical Skills in HCI; Seeing the Internet

Investigate how the physical reality of the Internet (coppe r cables, optical fiber, electromagnetic waves, computing devices) enables layers of hardware, software, and virtualization to build a system that increasingly connects humans and anything, anywhere, anytime. We will trace the physical and logical paths that Internet traffic takes. Through a combination of in-person and online experiences, we will learn" to see better the Internet around us" and to share models of, and stories about, how the Internet as a system works end-to-end.
