Seminar in Israel Studies; Introduction to Human Rights in Israel
Also offered as GVPT368D. Credit granted for GVPT368D or ISRL448R. An overview of the status of human rights in Israel today and how Israel's legal system deals with them. Issues examined include rights of the Arab minority (including the Bedouin), women's rights, and those of Palestinians in the West Bank, as well as challenges that face human rights NGOs.
