Special Topics in Library and Information Science; Public Scholarship & Digital Advocacy

With a focus on digital advocacy and public scholarship, this course teaches students how to use social media and other digital platforms to advocate for social justice and increase access to academic scholarship.Students will also learn how to use technology for data collection and dissemination. Upon completion of the course, students will have implemented a digital advocacy campaign and designed a research study that explores the connection between social justice and technology.
