MITH741

Creative Ambiguities: Embodiment, Text, and the Digital Humanities

Prerequisite: MITH610; or permission of instructor. Recommended: MITH610 and MITH735. The course asks what theoretical and applied research emerges out of the space of digital humanities and the performing arts. It will equip students with a nuanced overview of the history of the digital within performance and explore various technical approaches that can enable the exploration of intersections of research and practice, the connections between creation and research, and yes, even "cool" performance.
