Modern Condensed Matter Physics II: Scaling and Renormalization

Prerequisite: PHYS603 and PHYS623. Phase transitions in many-body systems, phase diagrams, scaling invariance of critical points, renormalization group methods, the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless transition, dualities, quantum phase transitions, Renormalization-group approach to interacting fermions (Fermi liquid as a fixed point, Fermi liquid instabilities).
