Special Topics in Interdisciplinary Problems; Seminar in Physics Education Research

This discussion-based seminar will introduce students to some of the compelling research being done in physics education research (PER) and adjacent fields. Students will be introduced to educational research studies on student learning, research-based instructional approaches and curricular resources for supporting students' learning of physics, and assessment tools for measuring aspects of students' learning experiences and students understanding of key concepts and skills in physics education. Course activities may include observing learning environments and conducting interviews.
