Special Topics; Field Methods in Plant Disease Diagnosis, Management and Research
Field and laboratory techniques in plant disease diagnosis, management and research; identification of diseases of small grains, corn, soybean, vegetables, fruit, turf, forest and shade trees, and ornamentals in field trips and laboratory exercises. Includes fundamentals of pathogen life cycles and management and instruction on preparation of a commodity grant research proposal and methods of outreach education. Overall aim is to develop skills relevant to applied areas of plant pathology.
