Culture and Diversity in Mental Health

Restriction: Must be enrolled in the Clinical Psychological Science MPS program. Review literature regarding the role of culture and diversity in mental health and how culture and diversity are integrated into research and are related to mental health and mental health service utilization. Examine principles and concepts of multicultural and cross-cultural psychology to acquire an increased understanding of diverse underrepresented groups and topics to consider when involved with research and/or clinical work with individuals having diverse backgrounds (e.g., cultures, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic status).
