Special Research Problems; Advanced Cognitive Development

Topics will include early knowledge within the physical and social domains, domain-general processes, cognitive architecture, and more. We will contrast different perspectives regarding the joint influence of innate foundations and experience on conceptual development. Although the focus of this course is human development during the first years of life, we will engage evidence from evolutionary, comparative, and adult psychological research as well.
