Professional Development I: Career Readiness

This course is designed to help graduate students in SLLC develop the skills, knowledge, and strategic awareness necessary to navigate a range of career paths, including both academic and non-academic roles. The course explores self-assessment, skill identification, career mapping, application preparation, networking, and professional identity development. Course format will include weekly readings, presentations, and/or workshop discussions. Alternative activities will include guest speakers and panel discussions. The ultimate objective is for students to produce a portfolio of ready-to-use job materials.
