Intersectionality and Illness
Students will examine the social determinants of disease, including the relationship between socioeconomic status and health care access, and investigate the links between social status and disease chronicity. Students will also explore how health disparities, health resource distribution, and susceptibility disproportionately affect disadvantaged communities with chronic diseases.
