Qualitative Research Methods in Sociology

Prerequisite: SOCY201 and SOCY202; or permission of the Sociology department. Using the sociological imagination to independently explore research questions as designed by students. Readings will explore dilemmas qualitative researchers confront such as, how to conduct research ethically and how their background influences their findings and analysis. Students will learn how to collect data, analyze it, and present it to others.
