Processes and Acquisition of Writing
Focuses on theory around the social nature of oral and written language. Specifically, reading like a writer (mentor texts, modeling, etc.), accountable talk (talk that supports writing discussion, question posing, etc.), and feedback (peer review, editing, writing for an audience, community of writers, etc.). Through these three focus areas, the teaching and assessment practices of 21st-century multimodal literacies will be addressed.
