Race and Whiteness in Education
This course asks: what is whiteness, white supremacy, and white privilege, and how do they function in U.S. educational systems? Students interrogate white onto-epistemologies and white settler-colonial logics; social constructions (and reconstructions) of race and whiteness; and institutional, structural, and systemic racism via research, teaching, policies, and practice.
