Special Topics in Contemporary Chinese Fiction and Film; Race and Gender in Modern Chinese Literature
Prerequisite: CHIN401 or equivalent Modernization and Westernization introduced new perceptions of race, gender, and sexuality to China at the turn of the 20th century. This course examines these changing dynamics in literature and media.
