Selected Topics in Communication; Introduction to Translation and Interpreting

This course will introduce students to interpreting and translation with an overview of the fields and practical skills necessary for the professions. Intended for individuals who have a strong command of English and at least one other language, course participants will explore how to put their language skills to work. Furthermore, the course will define the knowledge, skills, and credentials necessary to work successfully as a professional translator and/or interpreter.
