Computational Economics

Prerequisite: ECON604 and ECON624. Credit only granted for: ECON625 or ECON698R. Formerly: ECON698R. An examination of the specification, computation, estimation and interpretation of structural models that are widely used in Industrial Organization, and in a range of other applied microeconomic contexts (marketing and public, environmental, education and urban economics). The focus will be on the connections between these models and relevant economic theories, and on the details of their implementation in practice.
