Statistical Pattern Recognition

Prerequisite: MATH461; or students who have taken courses with comparable content may contact the department; or permission of instructor. Corequisite: ENEE620; or permission of instructor. Credit only granted for: ENEE633 or ENEE739Q. Formerly: ENEE739Q. The goal is to introduce mathematical pattern analysis and recognition. Emphasis is given to parametric and non-parametric statistical pattern recognition methods and clustering with applications to speech, image and video recognition.
