Introduction to Geographic Information Systems for Social Science Research
Credit only granted for: GVPT392, GVPT429A, or GVPT729D. Formerly: GVPT429A, GVPT729D. Introduction to the use of Geographic Information Systems for conducting research in the social sciences. Overview of spatially embedded nature of many social science phenomena and content of theories common to spatial thinking. Students will obtain hands-on experience with various GIS tools and methods most frequently employed by social scientists.
