Advanced Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Health
Recommended: Students should have some familiarity with basic psychology, sociology and/or epidemiology. Credit only granted for: HLTH424 or HLTH624. The preparation of students to be knowledgeable advocates for the health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) populations. Course focus is defined by the Healthy People 2020 federal health objectives for LGBT populations: data collection for research, culturally competent healthcare, bullying in schools, suicide, homelessness, and sexually transmitted diseases including HIV.
