Special Topics in Information Studies; Computational Archival Science

Cross-listed with INST608Q. This seminar course explores the theory and practice of managing born-digital and digitized records and information assets at scale. Students will study computational/algorithmic thinking and methodologies from computer science, archival concepts and methodologies, and concepts and approaches that traverse both disciplines, such as provenance, to identify connections that could inform a new trans-discipline, Computational Archival Science (CAS).
