| Richard Marciano INST443 Expecting an A Anonymous 05/14/2025 | The classes were mostly online and sometimes met in person for more complicated assignments. Professor Marciano is a nice professor and extremely willing to help his students in any way. He often asked the class for their opinions and input for assignments, if we thought the workload was fair and manageable, etc. If you needed any additional help on an assignment, he is more than willing to do a Zoom call with you. The assignments themselves are not hard, as he walks through them in class and has step-by-step videos that go through the assignments. There are a lot of different tools and systems that you have to install to do these assignments, which were a little tedious and a bit much at times, but he shows us how to do it. His lectures were a bit boring at times as he talks on the slower side and tends to repeat information from past lectures. But he is very thorough and detailed about what is expected of each assignment. If you fall behind in the class, it is not the end of the world, as he offers partial credit for all late assignments (even assignments from the beginning of the semester). Overall, he's a chill guy who is very educated in digital curation and wants to share it with his students so they can learn new skills and tools. |
