Understanding Audiences and Analytics

Prerequisite: Student must have completed a university statistics course. Credit only granted for: JOUR479O or JOUR475. Formerly: JOUR479O. As journalism evolves, it may be more important than ever to understand what were once simply called "audiences" -- who they are, how they consume news, and what that engagement means for them and for society. Students will learn to think critically about news audiences and contemporary issues in audience research.
