Physical Activity and Disease Prevention and Treatment

Prerequisite: 1 course with a minimum grade of C- from (KNES320, KNES360). Restriction: Must have earned a minimum of 75 credits. Credit only granted for: KNES465 or KNES498A. Critically examines the scientific evidence that supports the use of physical activity to prevent and treat age-related diseases, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, abnormal lipoprotein-lipid levels, hypertension, obesity, osteoporosis and cancer.
