PSYC798O

Graduate Seminar; Diversity in Organizations

Focus is placed on issues surrounding diversity and the interactions of stigmatized and non-stigmatized individuals, with an emphasis on the context of work. Issues related to diversity and discrimination at work involve several key players, including the person(s) being stigmatized, the person doing the stigmatizing, the bystander(s) witnessing stigmatization of others, and the organization. Course readings address each of these perspectives, along with an introductory unit that outlines key concepts of diversity.
