Statistics For Sociological Research I

Prerequisite: SOCY201; or students who have taken courses with comparable content may contact the department. Restriction: Permission of instructor. Credit only granted for: SOCY601 and SURV601. Introductory statistical concepts are covered including descriptive statistics, probability, sampling distributions, expected values, hypothesis testing, tests of significance, measures of association, and if time permits, introduction to regression analysis. Statistical programming software may be used.
