Teaching and Learning High School Mathematics

Prerequisite: Must have 2 semesters of calculus; or permission of EDUC-Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership department. Corequisite: EDCI355. Restriction: Must be in Secondary Educ: Mathematics program; and minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. Or permission of EDUC-Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership department. Credit only granted for: EDCI455 or TLPL403. Formerly: EDCI455. Methods of teaching and assessing the high school mathematics curriculum; aligning tasks and activities to curriculum standards; lesson planning; and selection and use of technology. The course also focuses on managing large group dynamics in the high school mathematics classroom.
