Quantitative Applicaltions for Education Policy Analysis

Prerequisite: EDMS645; or students who have taken courses with comparable content may contact the department. Recommended: EDMS646; or EDMS651. Or EDMS646; and EDMS651. Credit only granted for: EDPS703 or TLPL765. Formerly: EDPS703. Students use quantitative applications and secondary datasets to investigate social problems and education policies. Emphasis on the use of quasi-experimental designs and regression techniques to frame education issues, analyze, and recommend policies.
