| Ricardo Arevalo GEOL100 Expecting a B admin 04/15/2025 | His lectures were fine/good and he is 100% interested in what he teaches but McGraw Hill makes me want to put a cigarette out on my arm. |
| Ricardo Arevalo admin 02/04/2025 | very very harsh grader, we had biweekly presentations which were very hard to get an A on, even though there was a ton of effort put into the group presentations. |
| Ricardo Arevalo HNUH228W Expecting an A admin 05/18/2024 | -he was a harsh grader for an honors class and made this class a lot of work and unneeded stress -you have to go to class for participation points -on top of participation there are 5 case study presentations (which is basically impossible to get over a 93 on) and 1 final research essay -the A cutoff is a 92.5% but I got a 91.4% and he gave me an A so maybe there was a slight curve at the end? |
| Ricardo Arevalo HNUH228W admin 05/16/2024 | he's a nice guy and obviously passionate about what he teaches. That being said, he is a very strict grader and for an honors class, it's just ridiculous |
| Ricardo Arevalo HNUH228W admin 04/09/2024 | nice guy but very harsh grading for an honors class, it's basically impossible to get higher than an A- |

| Ricardo Arevalo GEOL445 Anonymous 12/24/2022 | I took this class to satisfy the geochemistry requirement for my major, and I really enjoyed the content. Dr. Arevalo is a good lecture and does a good job of engaging students in discussion throughout the lecture. Most students would participate in the lecture at some point each class. There were weekly quizzes which felt like they lagged a bit behind where we were in lectures so it was sometimes difficult to predict what to study. Exams could be pretty difficult but there are three, and the last one is take-home AND he drops one of the exams. |
