| Christoph Brehm ENAE311H Expecting a B admin 12/12/2024 | Pros: -only time ive seen mostly theoretical lectures be so easy to understand -examples were relevant and helpful -lecture notes are very good and posted from day 1 -easily the most lenient professor ive ever had, due dates are largely flexible -wants to help as much as he can, changed the grading scheme multiple times to help the class -helpful in office hours -held reviews inside and outside of class for exams Cons: -I felt his exam grading could be a bit too harsh on calculation errors at times -really doesnt have enough time to be teaching, was routinely late to class and busy with conferences and such -examples are often not in lecture notes -doesnt respond to emails until late at night -homeworks can be difficult if you dont go to office hours -often a bit too bright for us mere mortals ; you have to make sure to ask questions or he’ll assume you understand -assigned project groups very late into the semester Overall: I took the class as a non-honors student (wanted to do the project) and while I struggled at times, I really enjoyed the class and would recommend Brehm as one of the better profs in the department. |
