Lauren Cannady HNUH278X Expecting an A admin 05/15/2023	Polarizing professor. She truly cares a lot about the material so she takes it personally when students don't. Overall, a nice person but kind of a pain and can be very passive aggressive. I enjoyed the content of the course, but prepare to read.
Lauren Cannady HNUH278X Expecting an A admin 05/14/2023	The class was not cohesive at all, the modules didn't seem to connect, and overall felt like a lot of busy work. After a whole semester, I still could not tell you what the European Enlightenment is. She also always talks to you in such a condescending way, as if she's always judging you.

Lauren Cannady HNUH278X Expecting an A- admin 04/17/2023	I'll start with the good. Her class is completion based and she barely assigns any work. There's one reading per week that you need to make a discussion post about which is easily commandF-able/GPT-able/bullshitable. The only grades are really the discussion posts and then your class participation. If you are looking for an easy A this class is it as long as you are not socially awkward and are willing to participate in class. Now for the bad. She is the most pretentious woman I have ever met in my entire life and that is not an understatement. Think of a rich white woman English teacher from Bethesda who moonlights as a Karen. Yeah, the class isn't much work, but she is almost unbearable. If you are a straight white male be ready to be the butt of snarky and pretentious comments. You also CANNOT miss class unexcused because a large part of the grade is participation, so be sure to take a late class. Overall the class is worth taking because it is an easy A. You should definitely take it. The material is also kind of interesting and thought provoking at times. Just be ready to feel like you are in the 7th grade again.

Lauren Cannady HNUH278X admin 03/03/2023	I second the below review: she has absolutely no chill and always seems pressed about something. She assigns lengthy readings and has mandatory attendance for seemingly no benefit — I’m still not sure what the point of any of the content or assignments is.

Lauren Cannady HNUH278X Expecting an A admin 12/24/2022	Prof Cannady ran this class in a very organized, easy to follow format. She set clear expectations from day 1, and across the semester, we did a variety of engaging and interesting activities directly related to the course content we were learning. She did her best to instruct us in a variety of ways, and I personally learned something interesting in every class.
